Climate Action Plan Implementation Report (Year 1)

The first Implementation Report of the Kilkenny County Council Climate Action Plan outlines the positive progress made in 2024 by the Council in delivering climate action.  82% of actions in the Plan were started in 2024.  The report provides details of actions undertaken, targets achieved, and case studies of projects.  Governance and leadership, mitigation, adaptation, delivery across services, and community activation and engagement are the key themes of the report.

The second Implementation Report of the Climate Action Plan outlines the progress made in 2025.  89% of actions have commenced since the Plan was adopted by the elected members in February 2024. The report provides details of progress on delivering climate action across 28 service areas, case studies and community engagement and activation.
